Queens Courier One of the best weekly newspapers focused on Queens is the Queens Courier. Its local editions provide excellent coverage of the borough's communities. The paper's website reprints many of the articles, but unfortunately, plays second fiddle to the print edition.

The Queens Tribune The Queens Tribune is a local Queens weekly newspaper. The site is a good source of information on local events, and includes a "Best of Queens" directory.

NY1 News NY1 News is cable news station that focuses on New York City. NY1's website has features on news as well as resources on the city, including a section devoted to the borough of Queens.

Times-Ledger Keep up on local community news through the Times-Ledger. This company runs a chain of 13 weekly newspapers for communities in Queens, including Astoria, Bayside, Flushing, Fresh Meadows, Little Neck, Jamaica, Whitestone, Laurelton, Queens Village, Richmond Hill, Forest Hills, Howard Beach, Ridgewood, and Glen Oaks.

Times Newsweekly Serving the Greater Ridgewood area, this was formerly the Ridgewood Times.

Queens Public Television Queens Public Television has its own website with information about the four public access channels broadcast from Flushing to cable TV systems across Queens.

The Western Queens Gazette A newspaper that focuses its coverage on Western Queens.

Ethnic Media serving New York Metro Area

The Irish Echo Published in NYC, the Echo reports on the lives and concerns of Irish immigrants in the States as well as on news from the Emerald Isle. It's a common sight in the Irish pubs of Sunnyside and Woodside, home to many of the new immigrants.

India Tribune India Tribune is an English-language weekly newspaper that serves Asian Indians in the USA. In addition to the New York edition, there are ones for Chicago and Atlanta.

Greek News: Greek-American Newspaper in Astoria Greek News is a weekly newspaper published in Astoria that covers Greece and Greek-Americans. Its website posts articles daily.

News India-Times Published in New York, News India-Times is a weekly newspaper whose audience is the Indian immigrant community in North America.

Independent Press NY The website of Independent Press New York highlights the best articles from the city's community and ethnic publications, and includes translations to English from Spanish, Polish, Chinese, and other languages. It's boom time for ethnic publications in NYC; just look around the next time you're on the subway at what people are reading.

El Diario - La Prensa El Diario is a popular daily Spanish-language newspaper for New York City.

ITV - South Asian Cable TV Station ITV is a cable TV channel targeted to South Asians and Indo-Caribbeans in Queens and Brooklyn. Along with ITV Gold (its premium, subscriber version), ITV broadcasts Bollywood films and videos along with Caribbean videos and news from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Guyana, and Trinidad as well as from the NYC immigrant community.
